NEWS Heavy Fuel UAV Engine Proram!4/07/07 -- LAI has started the design process of our new supercharged, two stroke, heavy fuel UAV engine. This engine will be a 4-cylinder, opposed configuration, with a twin screw supercharger and digital fuel management system. LAI will use magnesium, titanium, carbon fiber and plastics to keep weight to a minimum. The second prong of the program includes development of a UAV airframe to be matched to the engine for optimal configuration and capabilities showcasing, performance, and to ensure the durability needed for testing.
